Church member ship is very important for a New Testament believer.
These day’s people don’t want to become a church member because they fear commitment and accountability.
We're in an age where some people are members of a church they go online, this isn't Godly but a function of the new age movement.
The bible teaches that someone will give account of your soul: Pastor /Shephard.
Acts 20:28

made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The church is a Spiritual family
Every family has problems and challenges but that does not make you change your name and disown your family.You can’t change your family of birth, so also you can’t change your spiritual family without God’s approval.
1. Participate in worship & Fellowship
This means you take church attendance very seriously.

2. Prays for the church, prays with others and knows that the Church is a house of prayer
Prayer is never over emphasized to a good church member.
James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
Matthew 21:13
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Acts 2:42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers
3. They Love the word (Mediate on the preaching, talk about each sermon)
If you don’t rejoice at the word preached from the altar of the church, then you can’t be a good church member.
God has a word for every house for their establishment and growth.
1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Psalm 107:20
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions
4. A good member is a faithful giver
You give because God says Give
You give because you this is your house
You give to minister to the needs of others
You’re not giving because you’ve got too much but because God’s kingdom is your priority
Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running
over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Acts 20:35
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive
5. Relationship with church members and other Christians
A good church member must be committed to having good relationship with other church members.
This relationship is to strengthen your faith.
If all your friends are unbelievers then you're not born again yet!!!
1 Corinthians 12:21
21 And the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you
6. Serve, do ministry
Using your talents and gifts in the church is very vital for healthy Christian growth
1 Corinthians 12:5-7

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

7. Encourage others
Practice the act of encouragement !
Speak more grace to your Pastors, leaders , church workers & other Christians

8. They trust & Submit to Leadership
I have had so many people pass through our church and couldn't be established because they couldn't submit to Leadership. Any ministry you can't submit to you have no right to gain from.
I have seen some who said a woman can't be a pastor over men but yet have benefited from the grace of God upon My Life.

9. Submission to Church discipline
The Church is a place of Biblical discipline. Every good church member must submit to discipline.
You can't do anything and everything and be a part of the church.
Paul the apostle disciple the fornicator by sacking him from the church because the guy was sicking but yet puffed up.
When you do anything wrong you must be sober and repentant not puffed up, arrogant and proud about your evil.
Any Church that fails to discipline people because of the fear of people leaving isn't a bible believing Church.
1 cor 5:1-13
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much
as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
