DON'T BE AFRAID 
2  Timothy 1:7( KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We are leaving in a time where there is no shortage of bad news and disaster. I once said CNN does not have to look for news again. News is everywhere.
The recent rise in terrorism,wars, the global economic downturn, the way diseases and plagues are rising and taking many to an early graves is making fear to attack many.
  • Someone defined fear as false evidence appearing real, whenever you are afraid, it's not real evidence but a false one.
  • Fear is also the opposite of faith.


Archbishop Idahosa was a man that was so fearless in his days, He was told us a story, that  there was a city that death had told that he was going to visit but never gave them the time, by the time death arrived many had died because of the fear of death. The meaning of this is that many die from fear but I declare that you will not be a victim of fear.
In the bible there are 365 times that we were exalted not to be afraid, the meaning of this is that for every day of the year, God is saying Don’t be afraid!
Fear can be tormenting, this is why many people have high blood pressure and even panic attacks.
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”
It is important to note that, everyone has some fears but we must fight our fears with the word of God. Bishop TD Jakes once said, faith is not the absence of fear but believing and acting on the word of God in spite of the fears!
5 REASONS WHY WE MUST NOT FEAR
1. God is on our side
Psalm 124:2 (NLT) What if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us?
  • We must never think that God is against Us, He is always for us and always on out side!
  • If God be for Us who can be against Us? (Rom.8:31)
2. God is our source
Genesis 22:14 (NLT) Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means "the LORD will provide"). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
  • Our source is not the bank, the economy or man, God is your source. Our God is more than enough to meet our needs, so we must never be afraid of lack.
3. Angels are on assignment over our lives
Psalm 91:11 (NLT), For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
  • Divine protection is guaranteed because we have angels ministering to Us 24/7.
  • The knowledge of this should make us fearless at all times
4. God will always turn things around for our good
Romans 8:28 (NLT) And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
  • A child of God can never be at the mercy of the enemy, every plan of the enemy must always be turned around.
  • When we understand this, we must give God thanks in every situation and in all things!
  • When satan thought he nailed Jesus to the cross, God turned it to the salvation of mankind! The cross was turned around to break the curses (Gal.3:13)
5. Faith in the Word of God
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
  • The word of God can never fail, it will not pass away, so it can be trusted without any fear.
  • To put your faith in the word of God is to trust in God because God has exalted His word above His name! (Psalm 138:2)
Fear is an enemy of greatness, if you study through scriptures, you will see that men and women that are celebrated were  those who were not afraid.
Many people’s tomorrow has been swallowed by fear because they are afraid of attempting that next level move but you will get there in Jesus name!
  • David was not afraid to fight Goliath
  • Moses was not afraid to challenge Pharaoh
  • Joshua was not afraid to lead God’s people into the promised land
  • The widow of Zarephath was not afraid to give the man of God the only food she had left .  
  • Deborah was not afraid to go to war even when the men were drawing back
  • Paul was not afraid of being arrested or killed for the sake of the gospel, because of his courage, we gentiles are saved today!
Child of God, you are made for a purpose and you’ll fulfill your destiny in Jesus name!
  • I declare that no fear will stop you from becoming the great man or woman that God wants you to be in Jesus name!
  • I command every torment of fear to leave you now in Jesus name!
