And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and break it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink you all of it(Matt.26:26-27)
for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the LORD. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible (Lev.17:11)
Communion is so powerful when taken with understanding. The bible declares that the Life of the flesh is in the blood, what this means is that we encounter the life of Christ anytime we drink the blood of Jesus. Literally we're drinking liquid life,its spiritual fuel, Zoe is released into you!
Do you remember Jesus said anyone who eats of his body and drinks of his blood has eternal life(John6:54)
Paul calls the blood of Jesus, the Cup of Blessing! This is amazing, It means all and every blessing is in the blood. The blood is loaded with all you need.
Growing up as a young christian I never used to understand when people testify of major breakthroughs after partaking in the communion, it was just recently that God opened my eyes to the mystery of the communion. Not only is there healing power in the Cup, that new car you've been believing God for, is in the cup, marital favour is in the cup, financial breakthrough is in the cup, that new house is in the cup. The reason why the church never lacked even though they were persecuted was because they always drank from the cup of the blessing, I prophesy into your life, as you drink from the cup of the blessing, you will never lack.
This Cup is loaded with the full package of covenant blessings, the reason you've not received is because you didn't do it with Understanding, expectation and faith.
Jesus took bread, and broke it, it was done to give us a picture of what He did on the cross. His body was broken for us, that's why you can't be broken by pressure or sickness in Jesus name , Christ did it for you already.The bread is the body of Christ as we eat his body, whatever is not found in the body of Jesus, can't be found in your body.
Now it is important that before you partake in the communion you're right with God, you must be saved and confess every unconfessed sin. Paul said some people who have eaten unworthily are sick, weak and falling asleep i.e dead, because they didn't honour the Lord's body.Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice, any time we eat the communion we are partaking from the sacrifice that is on the altar, remember in the old testament whoever brought a peace sacrifice, will have a meal out of it. You must honour what God has honoured! what do I mean? Any time God accepts an offering, it must be a sacrifice and it anything God accepts, He honours!
I am believing God for outstanding, ground breaking testimonies in your life, even if you're struggling with a habit, a particular sin that has refused to let you go, that's what Paul calls the sin that easily besets you, the power of the blood will break it off you in Jesus name.
Many of the testimonies my ministry has recorded with people who are plagued by disease was after giving them a direction of drinking the blood daily. A woman went to her doctor and she was asked what she was drinking by the doctor because He discovered that the lady's blood was very good, He stopped all her drugs and just gave her vitamins.
Hebrews 12:24 "The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel" The blood has a voice that will challenge every opposing force to your advancement in Jesus name. The blood is speaking the Blessings through mercy. You've got better things, better promises,entered a better covenant through the blood of Christ, Amen!
What kind of drink can be used?
The bible never mentioned that wine was used for communion but in Corinthians Paul warned that they stop getting drunk during communion, so this suggests that they used wine, but the Corinthian church was plagued with alot of doctrinal imbalances because of their idol worshiping background.
The gospels just said He took the cup after eating the Passover meal, so it could be water or wine, the reason I am saying this is because, by faith you can use water, blackcurrant drink or red grape juice and it will work.
What Kind of Bread?
The bread doesn't need to be special, bread is bread!!! Get any type of bread and broke it by faith in obedience to his word.
Speak the blessing over it!
What is important is speaking a blessing over it and thanksgiving! You must speak over the bread and the cup of wine (Ribenna) and by faith It is transformed into the body and blood of Jesus!
How Often Can I do It?
You don't need to wait for a communion service to take communion, every believer should take communion as often as possible, the early church won't have a service without communion. Do it at Home!!!
I pray that you will receive this spiritual direction that our Lord Jesus commanded us, very seriously and do it by faith and you will manifest The blessing!
