Welcome to the month of November,2011.
This month, will be great in Jesus name, amen. You will overcome all and I know that you will win all, this month.
Jesus gave us a charge according to Matt.28:19"Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations"
There is a need for disciples not multitudes!
Who is a disciple?
A disciple is a student of a doctrine, learner and follower. The greek word mathetes is what is translated as disciple. Mathetes is where we get the word martyr, someone who is willing to die for what they believe, now not only are they willingly to die for it, they live for it.
Jesus asked will I find faith on earth when I return? (Luke18:8) This question is will I find disciples when I return?
The word disciple comes from the word as discipline!!! you can't be a disciple if you're not disciplined. you must be able to discipline your flesh to live in the spirit.
What did the early disciples learn from Jesus?
- They learnt how to pray
- Jesus taught them how to Heal the sick&cast out demons. On one occasion, they couldn't; He told them this can't go out except by fasting&prayers.
- Jesus taught them not to build their treasures on earth but in heaven
- They learnt true humility
- Jesus showed them how to Love
- They learnt from Jesus that their satisfaction should come from obeying God only
- Jesus taught them the power of their mouth and the words they speak
- Jesus taught them forgiveness, even on the cross bleeding!
- Jesus taught them thanksgiving that will always provoke multiplication
- Jesus made them understand that they were sheep in the mist of wolfs
- Jesus taught them about the Holy Spirit
- Jesus taught them to preach the kingdom of God
- Jesus taught them to wait on God
- Jesus taught them submission
Are you a disciple or in the multitude? God is calling you back to the fold.
Imagine, how much power will be released when you become a disciple! Jesus said disciples shall do greater works than He has done.
The early church in Acts was made up of disciples not multitudes.
