DECC MID YEAR FAST 2016

THEME: EBENEZER

“Thus this far the Lord has helped us”

1 Samuel 7:11-13

11 The men of Israel rushed out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, slaughtering them along the way to a point below Beth Kar.12 Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer,saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”13 So the Philistines were subdued and they stopped invading Israel’s territory. Throughout Samuel’s lifetime, the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines.

We thank God for seeing us till the first half of 2016. Many have died, many are sick, many are in pain, the enemy is on the speed lane doing all kinds of other activities but God has exempted us for this we are thankful.

Ebenezer means "Thus this far the Lord has helped us"

• It means our stone / rock of help
• Yahweh our helper
• Divine assistant

One of the greatest enemies to the people of Israel are the Philistines. These people are classed as stubborn pursuers,  determined forces, relentless powers, trans-generational warriors against our lives.

• I command every stubborn pursuer of your destiny to end like pharaoh in the red sea in Jesus name!
• I command every Determined force against your life to go down after the order of Goliath in Jesus name!
• Let every relentless power receive the fire of judgement now in Jesus name!

Prophet Samuel raised up a memorial stone to commemorate God’s deliverance from the Philistines that battled them. The Philistines destroyed Israel, defeated them in previous battle,  took away the ark of the covenant, But in the same place where the Philistines killed over 30 000 Israeli men God totally defeated them.

1 Samuel 4:2 NIV

The Philistines deployed their forces to meet Israel, and as the battle spread, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand of them on the battlefield.

1 Samuel 4:10 NIV

So the Philistines fought, and the Israelites were defeated and every man fled to his tent. The slaughter was very great; Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.

The meaning of this is that everything that came against you and took your joy, brought shame, disgrace , tears and discomfort to your life, God is going to judge them in this season. God will disgrace and totally defeat your enemies because He is manifesting as your Ebenezer. ..Your stone of help. You will never be helpless in Jesus name! This fast is a grateful remembrance of God’s help, His Divine help that we have received everyday in 2016 so far.

Divine Instructions  for this fast

We  are engaging in an absolute fasting

This means that we are engaging in dry fasting which means no water or food for the time of the fast.

• 6 am - 6pm ( required standard )
• 6 am - 3pm (those doing energy exerting jobs/work)
• 6 am – 12 pm (pregnant women and breast feeding) they can have water/tea/fruit juice.
• Some people can have water during the fast, if you suffer from dehydration
• Those on medications which make it impossible to fast you can abstain from meat, fish,treats like chocolate , ice cream etc throughout the fasting season.

Children are not left out on this fast

• No treats in this season of fast.
• Children can fast on Saturday and  Sunday ( All children aged 5 and above)
• They can fast from 6am-6pm
• They can have a cup of tea only!

Proverbs 22:6 NIV

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Genesis 18:19 NLT

I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then l will do for Abraham all that l have promised.

Fasting without spiritual feasting is a waste. This has no spiritual meal or kingdom benefits.

What is a spiritual feast?

Day 1

THANKSGIVING

Psalm 95:2-3

2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. 3For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

1 Timothy 4:4-5

4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

1 Chronicles 16:34

   34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 106:1 Praise the LORD.Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

PRAYERS

1. Oh Lord I thank you for everything you have done for me.
2. Father , I appreciate you for the gift of salvation.
3. Oh Lord thank you for confirming your word of preservation upon my life and family in the first half of 2016
4. Oh Lord thank you for exempting me and my entire household from the calamities that are befalling mankind in Jesus name.
5. Father I thank you for giving me a heart that receives your word. I thank you for a teachable spirit in Jesus name.
6. Father thank you for blessing me with the gift of life, I am in the land of the living because of your faithfulness in Jesus name.
7. Oh Lord thank you for perfecting all that concerns me in Jesus name.
8. Father I appreciate you for DECC family worldwide , thank you Lord for your hand, provision and protection upon everyone in Jesus name.
9. Oh Lord we appreciate you for DECC Leeds and Lagos, thank you for the workers and ministers , be glorified in their lives in Jesus name!
10. Oh Lord thank you for the vision of DECC and the impact it is making in my life in Jesus name!
11. Father , thank you Lord because your word is increasing and growing in DECC commission in Jesus name!

Day 2

My expectations must become my manifestations

Of course not! 13So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

Every year we have expectation cards that are filled out at the beginning of the year and also during our conferences.  These are not just a notes but a prayer request filled with expectations and by faith, we believe that the word of God must be perfect in our lives.

God has said that our expectations will not be cut off. He has said what we have spoken He will do!

Today we present all our expectations before God and remind Him concerning every request.

4. Every power resisting the manifestation of my expectations for 2016, receive fire now in Jesus name!
5. Oh you powers stopping my next level, I command you to catch fire now in Jesus name!
6. Every power that says I will not testify, you’re a liar, I command my manifestations now in Jesus name!
7. Any power sitting on my prayers l command you to stand up now in Jesus name!
8. Fire of manifestation come upon me now in Jesus name!
9. Let the fire of the Lord destroy every monitoring spirit against my manifestations in Jesus name!
10. Thank you Lord for my expectations are now my manifestations without fail in Jesus name.

Day 3

I am blessed to be fruitful

Genesis 1:28

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Genesis 9:7

7Now be fruitful and multiply, and repopulate the earth.”

Deuteronomy 7:14

You will be blessed above all the nations of the earth. None of your men or women will be childless, and all your livestock will bear young.

When God said be fruitful , it is a command to be blessed not a suggestion.

What does it mean to be fruitful?

To be fruitful is to increase and multiply in all we do.

• To be fruitful is to be productive
• To be fruitful is to bear fruits , what use is there for a tree that isn’t bringing forth fruits? What use is there for a branch that is not bearing fruit?

Jesus said any branch not bearing fruit should be cut off

John 15:2

He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

Jesus said any tree not bearing fruit is cut down!

          Matthew 7:19

So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire.

We have been made to be fruitful. God blessed man to be fruitful!

• Be fruitful in your body
• Be fruitful in your work with the Lord
• Be fruitful in the work of your hands

To become a wonder to many is to enjoy all year round Fruitfulness irrespective of the economical climate and every doctor’s verdict

Isaac received a hundredfold harvest even in the time of famine(Gen.26:12)

I declare that every satanic agenda over your life to hinder your Fruitfulness is destroyed in Jesus name!

What to do?

1. Believe the word of God

    2. Speak the word of God that you believe

    3. Work, do something!

    4. Operate in Kingdom covenant principles

    5. Always plant a seed, don’t stop sowing.

PRAYERS

1. Father I thank you for blessing me to be fruitful in Jesus name!
2. Oh Lord, I command every fibre of my being to receive the anointing for Fruitfulness in Jesus name.
3. Every yoke of barrenness,  I command you now to receive the fire of God, break now in Jesus name!
4. Father, I refuse to labour in Vain in Jesus name!
5. I declare that I receive every harvest that is due me now in Jesus name!
6. Oh God of Uncommon and usual Harvest visit me now in Jesus name
7. I command every doctor's/medical report against my fruitfulness to catch fire, I receive my babies now in Jesus name
8. You yoke of working like an elephant and eating like an ant, break now in Jesus name
9. Oh Lord I command every satanic embargo over my fruitfulness to be lifted by fire Now in Jesus name
10. I command my bank details and card details that have be taken into the kingdom of darkness to be deleted now in Jesus name
11. Every power of rising and falling, epileptic financial flow, I command you to stop now, I declare in Jesus name, a steady flow of financial increase now!
12. Oh Lord I receive the Joseph mantle, I received economic wisdom in Jesus name!

The Power of Wisdom

Proverbs 9:10

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment

Psalm 111:10

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!

Proverbs 1:7

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Isaiah 33:6

In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD will be your treasure.

What is wisdom

-It is the quality of having experience,knowledge and good judgement

-It is the quality of being wise

-It is the ability to think and act using knowledge,experience ,common sense and insight.

-It is the ability to understand things that most people cannot understand.

-It is the ability to use your knowledge experience to make good decisions and judgement

-Wisdom is the rightful application of the word of God to your everyday life and challenges.

Wisdom begins and ends with the fear of the Lord.

Wisdom is a defence,it will make us live victorious in this age of wickedness.

To lack wisdom is to live in foolishness.It is to be to devoid of understanding

Solomon asked God for wisdom and it pleased God(1 Kings 3:9)

Wisdom will command favour and make you attractive,the bible says many came to hear his wisdom

Luke 11:31

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

5. We ask God for wisdom by praying for it.(James 1:5)

1.Father I thank you for your wisdom,I receive wisdom in Jesus name.

2.Oh Lord give me understanding and insight to make me outstanding in Jesus name

God does not exist in time but He has put man in time.God exists in eternity.time is the season for day and night.Time is the reason for seasons summer,winter,autumn and spring.

Man has designed calendar to put days in order.Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar 45BC.Calendar are used to schedule events,meetings and events and appointments.It is used to mark important days or re current events

Satanic calendars are the events,appointments and meetings placed by satan for any person in the calendar year.We have seen that some people have attacks  at some certain time of the year.There was a sister who must be sick on her birthday yearly and always on admission for christmas.This was satanic calendar that was controlling her life.

What is satanic clock?

• This is demonic timing
• This satanic watches over your life and family

I once read a story of a woman who died on her wedding day, that devil is a bastard. This is the work of satanic watches!

Today I command every satanic calendar,clock to catch fire in Jesus name

PRAYERS

1. Oh Lord let your glory be seen in my life in Jesus name!
2. I reject every satanic clock set to monitor my life now in Jesus name
3. I command every demonic cycles and recurrent troubles must end now in Jesus name!
4. Oh Lord let every satanic timekeeper assigned over me catch fire in Jesus name!
5. I command fire on any satanic diary and calendar that is controlling the affairs of my life now in Jesus name
6. I speak to the rest days of 2016, you will not cooperate with the enemy in Jesus name!
7. Father I deprogramme every evil agenda and programming against my Joy in the second half of 2016 in Jesus name!
8. I delete my name and the names of my loved ones from satanic hit list now in Jesus name!
9. Oh Lord every satanic opposition to my vision in 2016, is frustrated now in Jesus name!
10. I programme every remaining day of 2016 to bring me joy, peace and abundance and overflow of wonders beyond number in Jesus name!

Day 6

To pray is to Live!

Luke 11:1-13

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.Your kingdom come.Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.3 Give us day by day our daily bread.4 And forgive us our sins,For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.

Luke 18:1

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Our prayer altar must never lack fire, it must be burning perpetually. We must never live a prayerless life because to be prayerless is to be lifeless!

Prayer is not just asking from the Lord what we desire and need. If we have this as the only reason for prayers then we don’t understand prayers.

•   Prayer is a time of fellowship with God
•   Prayer is to communicate with God
• Prayer is to give God permission to intervene in your affairs
• When we pray we build up ourselves
• When we pray God works on Us like the clay and the potter moulding our character

As we are engaging in this mid-year fast we must desire that God takes us to the next level of prayer life!

• I once heard that if there is a man to pray then there is a God to answer!

1. Every change we desire will not happen until we pray!
2. The revival we are expecting will not come until we pray!
3. The divine intervention we want will not happen until we pray!
4. Where there is prayer there is power!
5. The place of prayer is the place for the supernatural
6. God answers to prayers but to complain or our tears.
7. Prayer puts the devil where he belongs under our feet.
8. An attack on your prayer altar is an attack on your life
9. To have a powerful prayer life is to be very disciplined
10. Your public victory is as a result of your secret prayers
11. The place of prayer is the place of revelations and great insights into mysteries
12. A man that prays will encounter wonders beyond number!

Day 7

The perfect will of God for me in 2016 must be established

Psalm 138:8

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Psalm 27:9

Do not turn your back on me. Do not reject your servant in anger. You have always been my helper. Don't leave me now; don't abandon me, O God of my salvation!

Job 14:15

You shall call, and I will answer You;You shall desire the work of Your hands.

Philippians 1:6

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Isaiah 55:11

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Today is the 7th day of the mid year fast.The number seven stands for perfection.

What is the perfect will of God?

• It is the total will of God
• This is the totality of the word of God becoming flesh in your life
• This when everything is in total alignment with the will of God
• This is when nothing is missing,every promise of God is fulfilled in your life

As we enter the final six months of 2016 whatever is not the perfect will of God in your life is deleted and we command establishment of God’s perfect will in our lives in Jesus name.

PRAYERS

1. Father I thank you for you will perfect all that concerns me in Jesus name!
2. Oh Lord I declare that the rest of 2016 will birth out your perfect will for my live in Jesus name!
3. Every sudden last minute disappointment is terminated in Jesus name!
4. Whatever will bring regrets to me in the second half of 2016 is blasted back to hell in Jesus name!
5. Oh Lord that heareth prayers, let every good word, promise and prophecies I have received for 2016 be established in Jesus name
6. Every spirit of delay and stagnation resisting the perfection of all that concerns me, be destroyed in Jesus name!
7. Father I expel and eliminate every evil personality around my life causing delays in Jesus name!

TESTIMONY OF THE WEEK

FASTING AND PRAYERS DESTROYED ULCERS

When I joined DECC I could not fast because of ulcers.A cooperate fast was declared.I was afraid to join in the fast, because every time I tried I would have severe pain.I told G.O Pastor Ovie she prayed for me and encouraged me to partake in the fast.In faith I joined  the fast.Glory be to God I finished the fast without a challenge.The ulcer affliction has disappeared and ceased now I can fast as many days as I desire.I give God all the glory for deliverance.Br M
