Psalm 90:14 (NLT), Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.
God has been our Ebenezer, and we thank Him for the mid-year fast. It is by His grace that we could wait on Him.
After the mid-year fast, we need to go into a season of praise, as we welcome the second half of 2016.
- When praise goes up, blessings comes down
- Praise is the only thing that God cannot do for Himself
- Anytime we praise God, we do for God what He cannot do for Himself
- When you do for God what He cannot do, He will give you what you cannot do for yourself
When we praise God, it is an expression of our satisfaction in God.
What does it mean to be satisfied?
- It means to make someone contented
- It is to gratify someone to the full
- It is to cause someone to be pleased
The psalmist says to God you satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love.
- God has brought contentment to your life
- God has brought full gratification to Our lives
- We are pleased with God.
- If there is anyone who is not pleased with God, then they are victims of deception.
Sometimes we are unsatisfied with some aspects of our lives; it is completely normal.
- If you are unsatisfied with your performance, you do more to perform better even as we enter into the latter part of 2016.
- If you are unsatisfied with any appliance you purchased from a shop, especially electrical appliances, you can return it and get something better.
- If you are dissatisfied with services, you can give a negative review.
This is a negative review from a dissatisfied customer who dined in a Mexican restaurant.
“I'm not a negative person and not the kind of writing reviews... but after this bad evening I felt I had to! we have been there for the birthday, the food was really tasteless! nothing Mexican, just served on plates! I took make people avoid you.
When you are satisfied with Jesus, it means you are satisfied with The Holy Spirit and you will praise Him and give Him a positive review.
Psalm 90:14, our main text says satisfaction will bring singing for joy that will last for a lifetime.
7 things that proves you are satisfied.
1. You will give God a positive review. You will testify to everyone about the goodness of God, which you have tasted. Do not be quiet about it.
Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys Of those who take refuge in Him”
2. You can express this with a celebration dance because when we dance, we are expressing our joy
We do not only dance in church, I dare you to give God a dance of thanksgiving this week!
2 Samuel 6:14 “And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment”
3. You will show your joy extravagantly and announce it to the world. If you still struggle about announcing Jesus in your Life then you will struggle through Life!
I declare that you will never struggle again in Jesus name!
Psalm 6:15 “So David and the entire assembly of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and trumpet blasts”
4. You will show that serving God has brought value to your life
Look at where you are now and where you were before you met Christ.
1 Peter 2:10 “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy”5. You will declare that you have faith and reliance in God.
Do not be afraid to put all your eggs in God’s basket because God is too faithful to fail you.
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding”
6. You will show and declare that no one can contest the place of God in your life. You will be Loyal to Him and never serve any other God
Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me”
7. You will show that you have no fear or shame recommending God to everyone. This is evangelism.
Romans 1:17, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes--the Jew first and also the Gentile”
As a commission we will be engaging in corporate evangelism in Leeds and Lagos. Don’t miss out. Actively do evangelism without shame.
Thought for the week… It is not happy people that are thankful, it's thankful people that are happy.
